UOL Introduction to Economics has always been the module I struggled with the most. I frequently got lost in classes and it got so bad that I eventually gave up formal classes altogether. It was tough for me to understand; let alone catch up. Often being tired and busy with work did not help either but I was about to get rather anxious and desperate as time passed especially because it was my third and final attempt at the module so I finally decided to seek help.
Thank God the person I approached for help is Kuanwei! I contacted him 1.5 months before the actual exam and my knowledge and understanding of the syllabus was only 10% at best. Beyond that I literally knew nothing. Thankfully Kuanwei's lessons were very focused and exam-oriented. Whatever that was covered were all likely parts that will be tested. He explained well and made each topic simple and easy to understand. I never knew how to even begin answering exam questions until I went for Kuanwei's tuition. He made sure that his students knew how to do each question on our own before moving on to the next. As long as there was a mistake or parts that we were unsure of, he would explain again and again until his students got the concepts right.
I tend to overthink on answers and thought it was complicated but after his explanations, I realised that it can be rather straightforward and instructional. It was not entirely smooth-sailing throughout but it was so much better than before. This time I knew I was progressing with economics - finally!
After completing my exam, I wasn't hoping for very much since I couldn't finish my paper that was worth a considerable amount of marks. So I had just hoped to pass. And pass I did, with a Second Upper score of 68. It may not sound that wonderful but considering my weakness in the module for years and starting tuition so late, barely knowing anything about it, never in my wildest dream did I expect to get beyond a just pass. Kuanwei taught me UOL Introduction To Economics (UOL Intro to Econs). Before he tutored me, I was very confused and my basic foundations were completely wrong. I joined him late into the academic year, roughly two months prior to the examination, and he was still willing to take a risk and accepted such a weak student like me.
His methodology and style of teaching is very professional, as it is very examination focused and tailored according to our strengths and weaknesses. Hey man, you probably don't remember me, but I would like to thank you for your tutoring help. Even though we only had 2 sessions and despite them being so last minute, I managed to score an A for UOL Investment Management (UOL IM) when I would have otherwise probably scored a C. Thank you.
I had the valuable opportunity to be thought UOL Mathematics 1 and UOL Mathematics 2 by Kuanwei. I have to say that it was very fruitful indeed. Back in secondary school, I was not able to take Additional Mathematics. Neither did I have the opportunity to do so during Poly. Therefore I had no clue in subjects that involved calculus. For my first year in UOL, I had to take both UOL Math 1 and UOL Math 2 at the same time, which heavily depended on calculus. I was struggling for six months and was barely able to catch up. The chances of me excelling in maths were getting very low.
Therefore, just 3 months before my final exams, I decided to engage Kuanwei for tuition. I could not have asked for a tutor any better. In UOL, the only sources for study materials are the lecture notes and the official study guide. Both of them were very complex for me to understand. Before I got taught by Kuanwei for UOL Introduction To Economics, I knew nothing about it. Concepts were hard to understand and I did not have a single clue on how the graphs are drawn. Lecturers rushing through every chapter in class due to time constraint only added on to the confusion I had for the subject.
During the last few months before the UOL Introduction To Economics exam, I decided to help myself by getting tuition, and my tutor was Kuanwei. As it was a crash course, not everything in the syllabus could be taught. During the tuition lessons, he summarised and simplified most of the critical Economics concepts which made it easier for me to understand and revise.
